  • Installing Mysql 8.0 or Mariadb is not posible on Oracle Linux/RHEL

maverick Even that it's not a perfect panel and still have several bugs but still it's the best free panel.

aaPanel_Jose Thanks jose for your response, I emailed you the credentials to access 2 instances which run on Oracle Linux 8.0 and Ubuntu 20, both systems have different installation issues which some of them reported on this forums.

Wise-Gorilla nop, its not the best free panel. Not by a long shot. ISPConfig & Webmin/Virtualmin by themselves kick aaPanel's ass. VestaCP with some TLC also performs quite well, and much better than aaPanel on most features.

Oracle Cloud ARM instances are within the free tier, one user can make up to 3 of those within the free tier limits.
"We cannot purchase Oracle Cloud ARM" ... lol

Any updates? I'm having the same issue.

MySQL installation works when installing LAMP stack, but it doesn't recognize essential extensions like zip.

Oracle has an always-free option for ARM btw.

just want info ARM architecture Oracle free tier .. when used in AAPANEL that, can use for OLS latest version in plugin ?

      Same problem here.

In ARM with RHEL mysql, either, does not install through the panel.
On ARM and Ubuntu it works perfectly.

      Both on Free Oracle Cloud.

Hello, can you tell me what OS version you are using? For example, is it ubuntu20.04 or something, as detailed as possible?
And if you know, print out the mysql8 errors for me to analyze, thank youπŸ˜ƒ

aapanel_sniper Thanks so much for the fix, tested it and 8.0.22 installed and worked nicely, Do you think that installing higher version of MySQL like 8.0.27 will work in the near future?

Also im wondering if you have a plans to make the mailserver to work on ARM systems

Hello, I wonder if you are convenient for testing?
          Reinstall mysql8, and the screenshot arrow points to the log print out for me to analyze;
I normally use Oracle Linux 8, including Oracle Linux8 for AARCH64, which currently normally use mysql8.
