  • How to change port 25 for mail server?

I believe that software equal to aapanel had to be in line with the best practices in the market, port 25 is outdated, because of spam, let's put this Mail Server to work at the current standards, 465 or 587

The mailserver does work at 465 and 587. But the way postfix and dovcot function require port 25 to be open.
Port 465 & 587 are only used for SSL validation, while the initial 25 is used to send the actual email.

AAPANEL does have a Google Cloud plugin, I always imagined that that app would have some sort 'work around'? i guess not? (I haven't tried it, i don't use the major clouds)

no solution yet personal ??

port 25 has been banned in almost everyone because of spam, all major providers do not accept this port, there is no adjustment that can be done, to work on ports 587 465

rafaelfmachado Hello, port 25 is the protocol of 7 post offices, unless we are strong enough to shake the international postal organization to give me the freedom to use other ports, or to ask the server operator to open port 25. Otherwise we will have to accept this reality.

Hello, there is currently no alternative solution. Currently, the popular ones use smtp port 25 to receive and send emails. Those who use ports 465 and 587 are generally used by users in the domain to send emails.

aaP_crispincouto Can you please let me know how and where did you swtched from port 25 to 587 in roundcube? I just do not find how to configure this. One of my websites was hacked and sent spam, causing my hosting provider to block port 25. I do not know if they will unblock the port ever.

Hello, the sending and receiving of the mail server can only use port 25, and the use of other ports requires the use of smtp relay

in manual way, postfix can change and default port, why aaPanel hide this from config? (for money of course)

Hello, I suggest you check the relevant information yourself. Mail servers around the world use port 25 to send and receive mail.
If you modify port 25, the other server will definitely not be able to connect to your server.
If it is a client, you can use these ports 25 465 587
At the same time, aapanel provides you with the ability to modify the configuration file yourself.
