Warning message: (20014)Internal error (specific information not available): AH00058: Error retrieving pid file logs/httpd.pid AH00059: Remove it before continuing if it is corrupted.

I got this error when restarting apache.. The best solution for me was to uninstall it and then install it again.
Hopefully this is helpful to anyone with whom this error occurs.

The correct solution for this is not to reinstall!

mv -f /www/server/apache/logs/httpd.pid /tmp/
sudo service httpd start

There, problem solved!
