PHP 8.1 and Fileinfo Extension

I updated to the most recent release but for some reason the fileinfo extension in php 8.1 will not install, every other extension installs just fine.

How to enable FileInfo in PHP 8.1?

Has any updates been made? One user posted this fix:

" After you install via compile option then click the fix button to fix the panel."

I don't know how to do that but my site can't migrate to PHP 8 and wondering when a fix will be issued for this?

Can you provide a guide? Because when I install PHP 8.1 via the AApanel interface and go to extensions and hit install fileinfo.... it doesn't work.

So basically you didn't help at all. You just literally said "PHP 8.0 and Fileinfo works fine on Centos 7"

When I asked for the guide you then backtracked to: "PHP 8.1 installs on centos 7 but without fileinfo. For 8.1+fileinfo I installed debian 10 (it's like ubuntu but a little faster)"

So your solution is just change operating systems. Thanks for the helpful advice.

aaP_mattc its a pain I know. I ditched 4x VPS with centos 7 for Debian 10, and I'm not sorry at all
