I have a virtual server on Vultr + I have installed a control panel. But when trying to get a security certificate, I get an authentication error. Also I have a problem connecting the domain to the server. This is the first time I've encountered this. I used to use the Plesk control panel and never had such problems.

I've been trying to figure this out all night. I'm already so nervous that I want to take a gun and shoot at the monitor.

Any ideas?

The domain in the screenshot does not resolve. So, are DNS records from this domain set to the IP adres of your VPS server ?
I would suggest using the NS from your domain registrar, Namecheap I believe? After that, set the DNS records to your server IP. Note: NS change may take 24h, DNS is often a bit faster, so be patient :-)

If the domain does not resolve, you can't isseu ssl

Hope this helps

JimmyBobsa thanks, but domain resolved. You may have been trying to access the domain when I was restarting the server

    Local authentication failed

    Any idea?

Could be it yes, I see it works now. Great. I also see a valid SSL certificate now on the domain. Problem solved then?

As you can see in the previous screenshot, there were problems with authentication again. I took a closer look at the problem, and suddenly scrolling down the page I saw notifications of potential problems. One of the notifications concerned 301 redirects. When I removed the redirect, everything worked fine.

Thank you for taking part in the discussion of the problem.

Sure, no problem. Cheers and glad to see the problem is solved !
