takeus Hi, I installed phpMyAdmin, but when I try to access it, I get an "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR" error, I set the ssl on the main domain name (let's encrypt)...
IRBIS Today "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR" also got out What is the connection? I myself have not yet looked for a problem.
IRBIS Fixed this, it was necessary to enable SSL port 887. Although yesterday without SSL On port 888 everything worked. One does not finish, the port is not changed in the myphpadmin panel.
aapanel_power IRBIS Hey, it's like this. When phpmyadmin uses the https url to access, it uses port 887, and http access uses port 888.
IRBIS aapanel_power This is understandable, but that's why the panel already had a certificate for 5-7 days, and phpmyadmin worked quietly through port 888 until yesterday?
IRBIS Yes, I know, but the bottom line is that the aa panel worked over https, and phpmysql over http until yesterday. It seems to be okay to explain what the joke was. aapanel_power
aaP_alin_rzv I have same issue today , ssl issue on phpmyadmin link port 888 , tried 887 not loading at all , do i need to sign another certificate for that path ? or how does that work ? using latest stable version of the panel . How did u guys fixed this ?
aaP_Rajib From my experience using aaPanel, if you want to use phpmyadmin over http port 888 then don't use force Https.if you use cloudflare proxy for Panel domain then phpmyadmin won't open in both http and https. You need to turn off CF proxy. Maybe there is some bug needs to be fixed.
aquilamendes aaP_Rajib I use cloudflare but none of the domains are proxying in the DNS entries yet when accessing phpmyadmin it does not access securely on https I always have to proceed even though I know the "risks" Did you manage to solve it?
aaP_Rajib aquilamendes you can proxy all the domain just not the panel domain for now. Make sure you have the port open in your panel, iptables. Open SSL for the phpmyadmin on the plugin. To use phpmyadmin over SSL, go to databases section on the panel, click phpmyadmin. The link on the phpmyadmin plugin is for http.
aquilamendes IRBIS Mine is exactly like this and access to phpmyadmin is still insecure as per print, it seems to me that it is necessary to sign some specific certificate for this domain/path/port so that access becomes secure. Everything works anyway, but it's a bit annoying.
aquilamendes IRBIS Mine it doesn't let me activate this section of the SSL it says it's incompatible with my web server I use (in my case the OLS)
aaP_alin_rzv I know it has no sense but , i 've opened the port 6699 to be used for ssl and 6688 for non https and after that in phpmyadmin setup from aapanel i've setup those ports , the error was still there , php version was selected to php 7.4 which was causing phpmyadmin to fail (phpmyadmin version 5.0) switching to php7.3 for the phpmyadmin fixed it. so after all was not an issue with ports but with phpmyadmin itself. Hope this helps you all.
aquilamendes aaP_alin_rzv Are you saying that if phpmyadmin runs on php 7.3 it solves this problem of insecure access due to not having SSL? I'm afraid to even test and give any problems lol.
aaP_alin_rzv aquilamendes you can individually set php version for phpmyadmin , from the apps list you click phpmyadmin and go setup and select php version to 7.3 yep , that fixed it .
aaP_alin_rzv aquilamendes to be clear this fix is for when you have SSL setup but phpmyadmin won't open, the shown error is caused by the php version setup to run on that phpmyadmin version (in my case 5.0) and not because of port.
