What's the best practice to create mail server and block port 25?

Hi, I have a question about mail server. Recently, i blocked port 25 and it cannot send mail. As I check on mail server log, it said that lost connection (timed-out) with remote mail google.

How can I configure mail server safely without using port 25? This can make my VPS IP in blacklist and my mail can't send through.

Check your mail domain's SSL certificate, if the mail certificate allows you on the domain name then use it as host servername.
→ Be sure to use port 587 or 465 as if it is secured with SSL already.
Insert your email account to Gmail, with password.
Advance with the instruction of Gmail.
