An idea is to do a collapse menu (like wordpress). because, per example, I have a 4k screen that can be divided in 3 widths of 1280px. The panel is designed to work in 1366px screens. If the menu was collapsed, I could stop to resize the window to use the functions of the right.
This is an idea but only if it doesn't bother you.
