Hi,

I recently had a lot of problems due to the operating system update. Would it be a good solution to use a rolling release distribution like Arch Linux to always stay up to date? If there is no support, could you add it?

best regards,

    hi,

To ubuntu, I solved to use ubuntu 20.04 because the mail server supports until 20.04 and the openlitespeed until 22.04 (It needs to be written in the description that it does not support 24.04).

But I'm planing to be a reseller for aapanel but I'm afraid these resources will stay deprecated in the future. Are there any plans to update them?

    Note:
If all the apps in the store, at least the native ones, were for all supported operating system versions, it would reduce the number of post-installation evasions of the panels. Because I installed it myself. 24.04, then 22.04, then 0 20.04, spending a lot of time on this. I don't care but there are people who care.

      1. Nginx
      2. MySQL
      3. Postgres (need to install uuid manually)
      4. Fail2Ban
      5. FTP Storage
      6. PHP My Admin
      7. Node JS Version Manager
      8. PHP 8.3
      9. Linux Tools
      10. Firewall

      Hi,
This does not solve my problem. I need Openlitespeed and mail server. Most things will work anyway. but critical things are in need of updating. but it works with the 20.04. I just don't know what it will be like in April 2025 when support for Ubuntu 20.04 ends. There's always this confusion about updating the server, which ends up making it unfeasible because of the maintenance cost.
      Best regards,

I know that the ubuntu can be updated with some commands.. but it's needed to test all the server and It's needed a server to test all aapanel extensions to see if they are working before upgrade.
The most simple solution is update only 2 extensions in the aapanel server. So all the aapanel new users could install the aapanel in the last ubuntu LTS version without to install 24.04, after 22.04, after 20.04 to discover, one by one, that the mail server and OLS (and some other few extensions) only can be installed with this version. To after, one by one, go to update for each ubuntu support end of life.
