im not sure if anyone is facing the same issue, just to share my experience.
recently i discovered that my machine is installing MySQL 8.0 automatically (yes, it's, because my i didn't initiate any MySQL installation in my aaPanel terminal) during #sudo apt update, sounds illogical, but i faced this issue for my 2 machines.
my server spec as below,
- alibabacloud simple application
- ubuntu 20
what happened was when I'm trying to install some application in the server, whether it is with aaPanel app store or from terminal, i realised that it has automatically installed MYSQL (I'm suspecting #sudo apt update is the culprit).
once the installation has done, everything works well until after i restarted the server, i realised that my MYSQL isn't working, I've tried all these methods,

but none of them are working, until i realised that there is one MYSQL being installed in the terminal when I'm trying to do #mysql -V, the result shows MYSQL 8 being installed. by right, it should display,
in case your MYSQL isn't working, please try #mysql -V in your terminal and check if there is another MYSQL being installed.
to resolve this, you just need to uninstall the MYSQL in your terminal. (not the aaPanel version)
peace 😀
