I feel the app installer is slower as compared to when I install the app program via ssh. I have tried 4-5 different servers (VPS, virtualbox, GCP instance) and in all nginx 1.18 takes 1000 seconds to get installed. Via ssh it takes at most 2-3 minutes in worst case scenario. Same goes for PHP and mysql. It's been almost 2 hours and MySql installation has only reached 60% on my GCP with 2 cores and 4 GB of RAM. Is it just me or others too face this issue?

It took 9942 seconds or close to 3 hours to get installed.

InoT Did you use compile and install? Compilation and installation is very time-consuming and server performance, of course, if your server is not in the rapid installation support (centos, ubuntu) may automatically choose to compile and install for you

aaPanel_Jose I used the fast option. I always tried on ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04. But it seems to always end up compiling in my case.

InoT I just tested it in just 35 seconds.

4 hours has passed and only gninx and mysql has installed. At 70% on php7.4. My server has a decent speed as I have installed LEMP manually in minutes.

I don't understand why it is impossible to install applications from the system distributions and then manage them from the panel?
The OpenLiteSpeed web server is installed in 20 seconds in a standard way.
It has been installed from aapanel for 3 hours already, although I chose "quick installation".
At the same time, the volume of installed packages increases by gigabytes!

I had to give up aapanel. It is impossible to use it.

Ris Because to communicate with services, aaPanel need to compile them from source or the custom package that enable you to manage them through UI, I think.

If you use cPanel, it's the same, they will use the package thats managed by them, not the original or from git source of the software, apparently!

I know this is a fairly old post, but its still a massive issue..

Installing any app takes super long time, 30 min->hours, on contabo VPS nvme germany server, 800 mbit line..

Installing programs using SSH takes just seconds..

idflorin i moved away from contabo, found a VPS that is almost same price but hella lot faster and more disk space....

Top one is contabo large VPS NMVE, buttom the new place, look at the difference, my TTFB went from 2000-5000 ms to way below 100 ms..

Wrote contabo, woudnt do anything so i cancelled all my VPS from them instantly.

Servers are in Austria EU, so thats perfekt for me as EU is getting hardass on the GDPR..

Do note, they dont have a DNS service, but i use cloudflare anyways (they do have a Beta DNS service they are willing to launch though if you require).

Im using Virtual Server L now, but i had a Virtual Server M, worked just as fast.

Same here, 2 hours to install nginx only, and I have selected fast install.
and about 4 hours to install mysql maria, and then I didn't find it in my app store, tried like 5 times.
and mail server took also like 2 hours, and I have a fast US (north virigina) server (1 Gb network speed & 2 vCPU).

Your panel needs fix guys, please check these things before production.
Anyway, I have switched the panel and chose something else because all of these bugs and issues, I really don't understand what is your problem with just install the packages normally without compiling it! and also, why the heck do you have fast option when you do compile it anyway?! I really don't get it!
