Wordpress Many issues on nginx....

Hi there, i get many issues installing wordpress on nginx.

When i enable "Force HTTPS" the website breaks

if i modify.

http://mysite.com to https://mysite.com

i cant access admin for wordpress.

if i change

http://mysite.com to https://www.mysite.com

i get this

What is the right way of doing this on Wordpress with aapanel?

Are you using Cloudflare?
You got A records to:
www.domain.com
domain.com

Just start a complete new Setup, delete everything.
Install LEMP
create Website: Domain: www.domain.com and domain.com , if you want to reach both.
Generate SSL Cert
Force HTTPS

Click on your site if its working.
If yes, install via one click deployment wordpress

ah, what im seeing right now, you dont need to type in the Site Adress. Read under it.

changing "server_name mysite.com;" to "server_name www.mysite.com;"

Solved the www issue.

but still, i cant access the wordpress admin.

Also

Redirect non-www to www

Have you enabled the Wordpress Rewrite rules for the admin problem.

Are the ports 443 and 80 open ?
In cloudflare any automatic https rewrites and other things on?

And set your domain to default domain for permissions to the www user.

Thanks dstny for your help....

I Deleted the panel, it was my 4th install attempt to make it work.
This panel looks promising, but it has many bugs for now, maybe ill check it out again in the future.

aaPanel is very simple to deploy wordpress...

I think most of your problems are caused by redirects

If you want to redirect aaa.com to www.aaa.com you can do it through 301 redirect in website management

There are too many redirects because aaPanel sets http redirect to https for you, and there are redirects inside

your website that redirect https to http

I got the same problem at start with aapanel. but if you read more, you can get it worked easily.

Thank you all for your responses ... I have made aapanel work.
@KrzysztofMaciejewski You were right.

My issues were with Cloudflare, i had to put it on Full (Strict).
and configurations on these panel are different from my previous panel, Cyberpanel.

I think my main problem was... "i was so used to one click install and everything suppose to work just fine."

And by the way, i ended up using Nginx instead of lightspeed, Nginx is just Faster, Way Faster....

That's what i thought.

I did a test on a website that has 12 plugins, around 15 pages and 500+ products.
My website with cyberpanel, cyberpanel uses OLS, it was taking long to load, and average of 3 to 4 seconds.

Everything took 3 to 4 seconds, products, main pages, wordpress admin area etc...

With Nginx, everything is snappy... i have Redis and Wp rocket.
Loading times are un 1 second, 1.5 second tops.

Today i will be doing a test with Fastcgi.

The only thing i dont like, is Stress Test on Nginx.

Nginx seems to fail just with 200 people.

Im sure is just a configuration thing.

Results Were Excellent, in fact they were better than OLS for bigger sites.

OLS works Good on Small to Medium sites.
im sure Nginx is better and snappier for small sites.

OLS On Bigger Sites, you have to do So much tunning to get decent but still slow performance.

Nginx vs OLS, Nginx just works Faster and better than OLS.

But i had many issues with Cloudflare, i always got the

" ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS " issue.

I found out the i had to set Cloudflare ssl to...

"Full
Encrypts end-to-end, using a self signed certificate on the server"

And that problem finally went away.

Also another weird thing happened, Stress Tests on

https://app.k6.io/

Were always negative, it showed poor performance and many timeouts.

Test on

https://loader.io/

Showed Excelent performance.
and NO timeouts.

Website speed test on:

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
https://gtmetrix.com/
https://www.webpagetest.org/

Showed the website loading in 3 to 5 seconds.

Test on

https://tools.pingdom.com/

Showed the website loading in Less than 1 second. Which means Excellent.

Also i tried test by throttling my speed and using Mobile 4g data.
And the website loaded in 1.5 seconds.

This render tests made by Google, Gtmetrix etc... NOT to be accurate.

Also the client noticed the increase in speed on his site, and he says he is able to get things done faster.

Yes, I used Basic, and all available features such as Memcached and Redis.

OLS Fails on Large Sites.

I have been Using OLS for the past 3 years, Lately Litespeed decided to make it slower. Maybe a Marketing way to promote their Litespeed PREMIUM.

i also Did a trial on the premium, there was a bit of performance gain but not much, Nginx still faster and better.

i heard that Nginx + Varnish is a Good Combo for lighting quick sites.

Right now im happy with Nginx + Fast CGI on Wordpress using LiteSpeed Cache plugin!!

WProcket Is Fast but tends to break many things, LiteSpeed Cache plugin is better and has many features and control.

😄 Good old Apache, i grew up using Apache, Now just Nginx, .htaccess tends to slow things.

its crazy that you have better results with NginX and LSCache than OLS and LSCache
