OpenLiteSpeed does NOT start

I have used the latest aapanel image from docker, fixed the errors, and got aapanel running.

I did install php5.6, 7.4 and 8.1.

Then tried to install OLS: it seems to install, but won't start. Cant find any errors.

Any ideas how to get OLS working?

I just took a small part of the log, as the log does not contain everything, it is truncated...

But there are enough errors. So something goes wrong!

Hope you can fix this. I'm using the latest aapanel (updated).

Note that I can manually download those archives that aapanel can't extract for some reason. So the http locations seem to work.

Directly reinstall openlitespeed once. Pay attention to whether there is an error in the installation process

I saw the which error in the log, and installed the which command:
$ yum install which, and now OLS does build and install!

I also saw some other commands (like the service command) that are NOT supported by the Centos 7 image you are using, so I also installed $ yum install initscripts , which also seems to help.

So it seems the centos 7 docker image has not been tested on these points 🥲

Furthermore:

phpmyadmin does not work with OLS: I get a 403 - forbidden and have no idea how to fix this
I cannot install redis 6, as redis 7 is the only option it seems
redis 7 keeps saying it can be updated, but with the update aapanel installs the same redis version (7.0.0), so does not update the redis install.

Note:
The OLS errorlog shows this for phpmyadmin:
POST /phpmyadmin_0c89923hbka9d90/index.php HTTP/1.1 2022-08-02 12:34:41.000553 [ERROR] [384511] [192.138.3.205:62965] MIME type [application/x-httpd-php] for suffix '.php' does not allow serving as static file, access denied!

phpmyadmin is using 'static' as PHP version. But I can't change that. It reverts back to static...!!!

I have changed the phpmyadmin.conf file in /www/server/panel/vhost/openlitespeed/detail/ to use a php version. In this case 74 as 81 does NOT work (empty screen):

So a configuration problem in the files created by aapanel.

The original file was like this. Using default PHP as scripthandler and php73 as the path. php73 is not even installed, so won't work of course!

All this worked using the old and deprecated Centos 8 image, but not using the Centos 7 image!

Your Centos 7 docker image contains a lot of problems that you have to fix first before you can even use aapanel. Fixing and updating aapanel via the console using the bt command is the first thing you have to do for instance.

It is recommended to use vps or physical machine to use aapanel. There are always weird issues with the docker experience.

aaPanel_Kern Yes, that seems to be the way sometimes with those images.

But we don't use VPS and/or physical machines anymore. Everything is dockerized, as this is much easier to maintain. We don't want to depend on some OS that suddenly becomes deprecated for instance!

So we are happy that you supply a docker image as the basis. From that LAMP image, we create our own image with installed applications and settings and use that 😄

However. I think the OLS PHP configuration error is not due to docker, but due to some error in Aapanel. But as you can see, this can be fixed!
