Laravel Routes not working

They work fine if index.php is added to the route. But the route in itself does not work..it shows 404 error.
I have tried with Laravel 5 and Lavarel 8

This is when the url is /myproject/index.php

This is when the Url is /myproject/

Please help..I have been stuck here since a few days.

The only thing comes in my mind is your Route controller is not validating the request, have you added the routes in the routes/web.php? if no then add them there with controller.

There is the default route and one more route which I added

Route::get('hello', function () {
return view('welcome');
});

Still the same 404 error

Sorry i checked your code and i couldn't find the routes needed by the laravel to process the endpoint. I will suggest you check laravel docs for the routes https://laravel.com/docs/routing

Sorry was busy with some other things, there should be a default route for '/' and if it's not much i should recommend checking out lavalite template or just go with fresh laravel project with proper controllers defined for routes.

There is a default route for '/' which does not work. It tried installing fresh project but faced the same issue again,

I checked out lavalite. Looks interesting will give it a try.

put this in URL rewrite tab

location / { try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$query_string; }

and then in site directory tab
click the running directory then choose public

Then make sure the running directory is on /public.

So, see this from laravel.com:

If the .htaccess file that ships with Laravel does not work with your Apache installation, try this one:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]

If your web host doesn't allow the FollowSymlinks option, try replacing it with Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch.
