How to change your webserver to OpenLiteSpeed(beta)

Note, please make sure your panel version is greater than or equal to 6.6.6 before operation

This environment is currently a test environment and may not be compatible with previous configuration files. If your site cannot tolerate a long period of downtime, please do not continue.

Step1:
Uninstall your current web server (Nginx/Apache)

Step2:
Install Openlitespeed (Currently only supports the latest stable version)

Site not accessible

If you cannot access the site after switching the environment, you can try to delete the site and re-create the site to solve it (regenerate the configuration file)

Note : when deleting a site, do not check Delete directory and database
Before deleting the site, please backup the database and site data to avoid misoperation

OpenLiteSpeed Configuration instructions

Main configuration file: /usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd_config.conf
Port Listen configuration file: /www/server/panel/vhost/openlistspeed/listen/*.conf
Web Site configuration file: /www/server/panel/vhost/openlitespeed/*.conf

it will be good if apache frontend and litespeed as reverse proxy too other wise rewrite rules will hav a lot problem.

JAY agreed. Openlitespeed have so much problems with rewrite rules. I used cyberpanel which uses Openlitespeed. My website got doomed. That's why I'm back to aapanel @aaPanel_Jose el_Jose

tinu LiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Enterprise or OpenLiteSpeed have always been faster than nginx in most circumstances. I just did a Snapshot of the server to switch to OpenLiteSpeed since nginx does not read the .htaccess (being Nginx) and Apache does not perform as expected.

i am getting database error. I got the websites running after deleting and recreating domains I am trying to figure out why now

Update:: reinstallation light speed server did the trick. I had to reinstall phpmyadmin too.. After doing all this everything is running fine and I am shocked over performance.. I would say go for it

aaPanel_Jose at first it was started. then it didnt started at all. it was saying root password incorrect in logs.. i tried changing root password still problem remained. I took database folder backup from www/server/data folder and reinstalled using fast install method. but same problem. I then reinstalled using compiled method and tried to restore database folder but it was not accepting database tables. so i restored database and created one site again. lost a day of data but running fine now. speed is good

aaPanel_Jose we can automate reload htaccess definitions in OLS

Currently OpenLiteSpeed reads .htaccess on starting time, so, if some new .htaccess files are created, or current ones modified - changes are not in effect until the reload of OpenLiteSpeed service. Please note that DirectAdmin provides customers an ability to reload OpenLiteSpeed directly from the user level, and does this automatically for the .htaccess files edited in File Manager. It's also reloaded automatically when uploaded using FTP if pureftpd_uploadscan option is used in CustomBuild. However, if you would like to have a cronjob setup, which would reload OpenLiteSpeed every X minutes if there are newer .htaccess files that the starting time of OpenLiteSpeed, you may use a cronjob like (*/3 means every 3 minutes, you may change it to happen less/more often):

tinu Try to change the OS to CentOS. The same thing happened to me when I was using ubuntu, MySQL is actually working but the panel does not recognize it.
